I have a 72 gallon tank with 2 large angels, a pleco, a 4" cat, and a couple black tetras (inherited from my kid). My problem is that somehow I have gotten these teeny tiny snails in my tank.....hundreds of em. Their shells look like an ice cream cone and the biggest I've seen is maybe a 16th of an inch long. How do I get rid of the nasty little buggers?

Yea, you have corkskreew snails. I would get some kind of loach (i.e. Clown, skunk, or tiger), or even a raphael cat. They all eat snails!:D Some LFS sell a snail killer, but I don't like it.

thanks guys....went to the LFS and they also didn't think that the medicine was a good idea.....they didn't have any kind of loaches....figures!.....they had a second idea till I could get a couple loaches.....they said to put a leaf of romaine lettuce in the tank......said the snails would all gather on the lettuce.....then just gently take out the lettuce and snails gone!......worth a try till I can find some loaches

Yea, you can also use zucchini, it is a little bit cleaner than lettuce.
