I have to large oscars in a fifty five gallon tank. I also have good filtration. I have had my O's for two years and I am almost certain they are both males. they lip lock and do everything mating pairs ie gravel moving and cleaning their slate off. I decided to trade fish with my friend one of mine for one of his. His have laid eggs multiple times but the eggs never hatch. the fish are very close to the same site. I just did the trade today my question was how should my tank be set up and is a blanket necessary. One oscar my new one is an albino and when I put him in the turned orange on the bottom half. His tail is perfectly cut in half by the orange color. Also my other O did the same thing but it is harder to notice because he is a fire oscar red and green. Does this mean anything thank you for your help sorry this is so long
Thanks
Josh
