I need help I think that the people shiped me two Male Acaras. Its hard to tell if one is a male and the other is a female what should I do
Also if any one has already bred Acaras I need to know the actions they do to each other

What kind of Acara are they? I have bred a few of them.

They are Blue Acaras what im going to do is buy a female from another LFS and put her in there the person at the LFS siad that the male that dose not get the girl will die because they will fight so im going to take the male that i don't want to breed and put him in another tank til i can get him someone to breed with

males - have longer pointed fins and brighter facial coloring

females - have more rounded fin tip.


They breed like most other common cichlids (short version)
lip locking
clean a nest (in a flat spot or on slate)
spawn
