Hmmm, now crickets shouldn't be a problem to get at all, havn't tried those either. I'm in California, LA area so not much wild-life here....heheheheh well I mean there's LOTS of WILD-life but not the kind you have in Louisiana if you know what I mean :) I recently fed my oscars some small live shrimp and really was surprised how fast those shrimp jumped when chased by the oscars :)

Whoa...I'm glad I don't work over there! No offense Joe but my line of work would have me running around like a wild animal!! Now ya see, I can't get shrimp. The ones that we do have are salt water and the fresh water ones are kinda $$$ at the LFS. I guess sometimes you have to sacrifice one thing for another. But I tell ya what...I bet them crawdads move about just as fast as those shrimp. I've seen shrimp whip those tails thru the water like bullets though...but they can't throw up claws when they get tired of swimming...hehehe!!! Take care! And good work on the site! Later:D

Thanks, and yea, you're right, I'll have to get crawdads sometimes when I have the time to visit a bunch of fish places...after you told me how your oscars slam themselves against the aquarium walls, made me really want to see the spectacle :)
