i got these 2 baby clown fish, the problem is that i dont know if there male or female:confused:
how do you tell the differents?

Wich ever fish is bigger will be your female, no matter what you do, if you have 2 clowns, you will have a male - female pair.

whats the most common mistake when ppl start salt water tanks?
cause right now i got one in a 30 gal and now trying a 10 gal.

small tanks ,you've got to watch the water parameters alot closer and levels can go bad fast.Once you get a spike (amonia,etc..) in a little 10 gallon it's next to impossiable to fix without doing a large % water change.

Compared to bigger tanks where theres more water so it's more stable and takes longer for levels to crash or jump to high


what can happen is all the fish can die - just like a freshwater set-up if something goes wrong

follow the directions on the salt and match the salinity (specific gravity) to what the rest of the tank is.

Mix the salt with the new water in a bucket or something not in the tank

No, aquarium salt is aquarium salt, as long as it has no addatives it's fine to use in freshwater or saltwater.

Cause i got some aquarium that clear say, AVANT Freshwater Aquarium Salt does not contain harmful trace elements that are found in ordinary salt. This will save me alot of money , better paying 30 bucks for the salt for 50 gallons, or 100 bucks for a bucket from bigalsonline. How much tablespoons per gallon?
