HELP PLEASE

Postby Babyeyes on Tue Jun 17, 2003 2:40 am

Hello, I have 2 oscars I have had for a year. They are in a 100 gallon tank. One of the oscars has started staying close to the bottom and doing a lot of side swimming. I do the weekly water change and when this has happened before, doing the water change has always perked him right up. This time he doesn't seem to be perking up at all. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks :)

Are they still eating? you may want to treat, put in a small 5gallon med tank and treat with anti-parasitic medication, antibiotics etc....maybe raise temp and add a little salt as well. Make sure to keep water as clean as possible and don't forget to neutralize chlorine etc.. when necessary.

<-- and I'd check your water at the tap, maybe your city's changed their treatment process, could be part of your problem especially if water changes don't make any differance
