I just thought of two questions that I need answers too. My first question is if Albino Catfish will interfere with my Oscars. I have a pretty big pond and it has been stocked with several large catfish. I tried to put some little Albino Catfish in my pond but I am pretty sure that the other catfish ate them so I was going to put the little Albinos in my fish tank until they got big so that the other catfish wouldn't eat them. My second is, after the Albinos are gone what will be some good fish to compliment my Oscars? My tank is going to be kind of empty with only two Oscars lol.

It all depends on the size of your tank. That is the only thing that stops us from putting cirten fish with other fish.

Two oscars in a 75 is usually the limit, but you can get away with some smaller fish, like catfish LOL. Plecos aren't the best choice because they alone creat such a big bio-load, but you could go with smaller plecos, they usually don't poop alot. I personally only keep the smaller plecos. They do cost a bit more, but well worth it IMO.

Perhaps a single Convict, firemouth, or Jewel would work, provided with enough filtration.

Still waiting if some has any information on their breeding behaviour.

I have noticed that the larger one {male?} his face has more blue on the other one which is smaller{female} Hers shows more green. Is this by chance any way of showing it is a male and female?

Thanks...

Trish

Could be but not sure since I haven't bred those myself. If you want to know their sexes vent them it's fairly easy and acurate.

If your not sure how check out This Site for a good description. It's basics are the same for all cichlids.
