Who's breeding what?

Postby stilllearnin on Tue Apr 15, 2003 10:51 am

Just wondering who's breeding or attempting to breed what species of the members here.Figured if people participate and make a list it might prove helpful to other members looking for certain fish or information on breeding certain fish.
So if your breeding something or attempting to list it and see what type of list we end up with.

To help people out, list them something like
B- for breeding them now
A- attempting to breed or working with
P - Bred them in the past

P-Yellow labs
B-Purple Zebras
A-oscars(waiting for them to get to breeding age)

Going to be getting some of the F1 from cichfreak, if he will get back to me. I will breed them also.
If anyone knows his e-mail please PM it to me. His PM box is full so I can't get a hold of him.

Thanx

A- Kenyi
A- Zebra's
A- Auratus
A- Jack Dempsey
A- Jeweled cichlids
A- Convict cichlids

Okay this is not only embarrassing but it's depressing. I have all these pairs, perfect water conditions(according to those who have been successful) and still no egg laying. Not even from the convicts that I was told would breed in a mud puddle!

Why won't my fish breed? The most I've ever gotten was some circle dancing and lip locking for a few days. I have a pair of convicts that ignore each other. What am I doing wrong?

Fish Novice-

Thanks for the well wishes with the Buttikoferi.....I'll keep you all posted.

As to the goldfish, they are an interesting bunch. You need to remove them right away to save the eggs. They eem to eat them as soon as they are layed.

The male pushes up against the female to have her release her eggs, then he fertilizes them, but as she realesae them, alot of them get eaten at the same time!

Trish
