the sell both fish and supplies...... they are pretty cheap...but not as cheap as big al's..... get a free catalog from them....request it and itl come in like 5 days =]

Ordered different things from all 3 places and was pleased with all 3.

I have purchased supplies from these sites. I've never purchased fish on-line, but would be willing to try if I couldnt find what I was looking for locally. Usually, I wait until I need several items before shopping on-line. That way the shipping doesn't raise the price so much that the single item is about the same price as Petsmart or one of the other LFS in this area. If I need something now, I usually end up at Petsmart...the service isn't the greatest, but their usually MUCH cheaper than the privately owned shops around here.

I usually do the lfs for fish and petsmart for supplies. However most of the bigger things (filters and such) you can get at petsmart online for like 20-40 bucks cheaper than in store products! I was shocked at such a difference in price.

if you were shocked at such a difference in price, you'll have another once you see the prices at either bigals or thatfishplace

I checked out bigals and i was very very impressed, i was just shocked at petsmart because of the mark up of in-store prices.
I understand you don't pay for service online, and they have to stay some what competitive with other online stores, but a good 20% cheaper on online products is a big difference, that's really all i was saying.

I've shopped with Big Al's and love them! Some things are half the price of my LFS!!!! And shipping is so reasonable. The time it taks for me is the problem since I am on the west coast and it comes from Niagra Falls NY!! a whole week!

It depends on the seller - aquabid is like ebay (an auction site with several sellers) but for fish

i bought 5 convict frys on aquabid. a few arrived dead, and they shipped me a few extra replacements.

Aquabid is just like ebay except the software is not as slick. But you can get some great deals on there and I have had really good experiences with it and no bad ones yet.

Aquacave.com is (as far as I can tell) lower priced than that stores listed above and thier shipping is reasonable and they ship fast.

Ken's is very reasonable and also they have great fish food that they make and also mega-cheap filter media, media bags, etc. that can really save you a lot of money on running your filters.
