Anyone have a playstation 2 with the modem to play online? if so is it worth buying? and can do you need dial up? or cable? etc.. or does it work with anykind and speed of server? or do you have to pay a seperate monthly fee for playstation dial up isp?

Been debateing buying one,but noone around here knows anything about them.

Yes, worth it.
Most games would perfer you use Cable, however dial up is not blocked from playing, I would think you should have a cable as it's better for you and them.

I am not sure about the server question. As for ISP, You can use just about anyone. There is no monthly fee, which is fantastic.

-It seems to me that you have Dial up, you would most likely need/should get cable or DSL, if you are in a low populated area, look into Cable, high density, DSL. If you do decide to go High Speed, you might need a router, definatly over a hub, $40-100, this way you can be online and play PS2.

-the only reason i have any real knowledge is because I am fool around with video games and computers all day.
PS- I am graduating with a BS in computer science in May, however that hasn't really helped me much....lol!

I have a cable isp.. which was one reason I was debateing on the PS2 modem,I thought it only had a phone jack connection and didn't want to have to pay for another isp.

Now get out there and buy the Adapter and let me kick your butt in SOCOM!
