shipping costs for live fish will be
U.S. mail Overnight
0-5 pounds overnight - $27.00
5-10 pounds overnight - 36.00
10- 20 pounds $52.00
**First $100 of insurance is automatically included,by the usps)

Priority Mail - 2 day mail (see above)
0-5 pounds $12.00
5-10 pounds $14.00
10-20 pounds $35.00
(insurance up to $100.00 costs $1.00)
**Delivery Confirmation/electronic tracking is .50)

FedEx
overnight $67.00
and UP
FedEx is a decient carrier but it doesn't look like they'll be to good for shipping small quanities, even if a standard fish box is used weighing only 2 pounds, they charge $66.97 - 71.20 because they use the "Dimensional Weight " of the box and however they work it a 18.0 x 18.0 x 10.0 (standard fish box) equals a charge for 17 pounds

UPS
UPS "midwest region" will no longer guarantee any live shipments, they'll ship but if they lose it,even if it was insured they won't cover it.

Airport/airlines shipping
counter to counter (usually same day)- delta dash = $80.00 anything under 25pounds (Delta MAY be a hastle for unknow customers to pick up from)

Other airlines over night cargo is about $65.00 for up to 50 pounds - unfortuneatly not much cheaper for small packages

**if only one person wants fish shipped via airport add $10.00 for my gas, parking and tolls**

If someone actually cares? NEW "fish boxes" are $8.00 ea if it doesn't matter I have boxes here at not charge, just figured I'd give that option.

Theres no stupid packing charges.(this isn't aquabid ;) )
Fish will be packed in oxygen and water - amount decided by distance
**"bag buddies" can be added for people who want them added**

ANYONE who has a connection with the post office feel free to double check the post office rates - I talked to one lady the other day and she quoted me higher prices. The normal lady was in today and she quoted slightly lower  government offices

I've never had fish shipped before via the Post office. How does that work? Does the fish come to your mail box, or do you go to the post office and pick them up?

Good question - It actually depends on a few things.
If you have to get your mail at the post office - then the fish won't come to your house.

If you get mail to your house the fish will go to your house.

OR they can be marked "HOLD at post office" then no matter what you have to go pick them up. I do stuff through the mail this way when I'm getting something live overnight because if my mail gets to the post office at 7 or 8 a.m. they call me and I can get it then and it saves live things from rideing around in the mail truck for 5 or 6 hours.

It'd be nice if you had enough free time to catch at least a few hundred fish, otherwise it'd be pointless ,if you could only get a few fish by the time you paid for everything you could end up paying $150 (not counting the trip) for a pair of fish

Do you have any way to order pseudotropheus flavus, pseudotropheus polit, labidochromis sp. "Hongi Island", or Ngara Flametails? If so, can you get wild or F1? How much? Looking for these, primarily the flavus and hongi labs!!!! Thanks a bunch! :) :D
