Best Filter

I am in the market for a new filter that pumps at least 400gph. I am thinking of an emperor 400. I already have an ac500, i hate that. Are there any other good power or canister filters that you all use? I am also thinking of going sump/ wet dry. Let me know your thoughts!!!!!! :)

most canisters dont run that fast, but of course power filters do. i think that the emperor 400 would be a great choice, but the filter cartidges cost so damn much. fluval 04 series, filstars and ehiems are good choices, but stay away from the fluval 03 series.. annoying as hell. wet/drys are probably one of the best types of filtration and the easiest to make. i just used one of those plastic cabinets, drilled holes in the bottom and there goes my media tower. then used a 20 gal rubber maid tubs as a sump. the only problem is the water control.
