What goes on the bottom?

Postby Adam on Mon May 14, 2001 7:44 pm

I dont think if matters either way... neither should effect your Ph any... though I have heard that unnaturally colored glass and gravel can stress oscars, that is why I have only dark natural tones in my tank just to be safe. But I dont think there will be any problem with using glass beads in the tank. Someone correct me if I am wrong...

you should use gravel, the bacteria will grow on them alot better and there for break down the waste at the bottom better. Even more so if you have a undergravel filter

what do you mean really easy to clean,do you mean gravel shiphon or do you mean phisicly taking them out and cleaning,if you mean shiphoning then yes you could mix the glass and the gravel,i think that would be really cool, even cooler then with out the mix.if you have a digi or scanner post a pic of the tank i would like to see how it comes out. Hope this helped Image
