Well once you get over the cost of the equipment its really fun. You may want to start out with a fish only tank as they are easier to keep alive and some invertabrates can crash your whole tank when they die.

In the last month and a half I started a new 54 gal. reef tank.

It contains two clowns, two Blue devils and one domminoe damsel's. 2 chocolate chip and 1 sand sifter star fish, one shrimp,3 snails. 45 lb's of living rock. I have had the help of a super nice guy from our LFS help me set it up over 2 months and kept me from over populating the tank.

When some of the corals I want come available they will be added too.

Defanatly go to your local library and read up on everthing you can find. From my experiance planning is the biggest key to being sucsessful.
