Automatic Fish Feeders

Postby Bonnie on Sun Jan 26, 2003 11:53 am

Has anyone tried the NUTRA MATIC AUTO FISH FEEDER? I'm thinking of purchasing it. I have been using the Nutramatic 2X Fish food feeder, but I don't think it works very well. First, I have cut up each pellet into thirds otherwise it clogs the feeder. Plus, it doesn't disperse a heck-of-a lot. I go to the mountains quite frequently (for the weekends) so I would like a reliable fish feeder. There are times when I am gone for 4 days, and I don't like to leave my fish hungry for that long and I can't always get a babysitter. Any ideas good/bad experiences with other feeders?

They can go up to 2 weeks without food. So if you are going to be gone for a long period them yes you will need to have some body feed them but if its less than a week don't even worry.

I ussually just have some one check on my tanks so water conditions stay good and nothing happens to the temp. I don't have them feed them so their is less waste to buikd up.

And here I was always worried that I'd come home and find them....well you know. Thanks for the info, it will really put me at ease when I'm away for the weekend.

All you have to do is stuff them before you leave and they should be good.
