I live really close to the area the "Fish keeper" does, and I've noticed as of late that many many fish stores are starting to stock arowanas that are under 3" in size that still have their yolks or whatever you want to call them attached to their undersides.
Maybe I've just been oblivious and haven't noticed before, but I don't really see any other types of fish sold that way.
I think this also is bait to get people to buy them because they're so cute and little, but they still charge 15-20 dollars for them.
I hang out at these places for hours just looking.. lol But I see customers come in with no knowledge of arowanas-- you can tell by the questions they ask. And they walk out of the store with one-- the employees never mention adult size or ask if their tank is adequite for this large fish.
I don't know, it's just kind of irritating.
