Baby Pleco's

Postby ConvictKid on Thu Mar 21, 2002 3:14 am

I was in the chat room today like i am every day, but today was very different. After everybody got off(including me)I went to go feed the fish for the last time. As i was feeding my adult cons I was looking at one of my plecos. It was acting really funny, it was swimming in circles around a hole that had been dug in the gravle, and it was actually chasing the cons. I got a closser look at the hole and saw what i think is baby plaecos. I know that they only breed in big ponds, but I am damn sure that I now have baby pleco's. There are about 30-40 really tiny "wigglers" in the hole. So my question is, is there any chance that they are baby plecos? Thanks ahead of time

Plecos wow! never had any of that. Is there any way you can move your cons elsewhere? Im afraid the cons will end up terrorizing them and eating them. Or mabey the cons paid the plecos to babysit for them?

I have bred syndontis cats though. Not purposly. They laid eggs and then my auratus raised them up . . .And I had thought they were auratus fry not knowing that auratus are mouthbrooders. Its a long weird twisted story. My Auratus are acctually implanted with alien DNA.

just as a fallow up. from what i can tell they are plecos, the one that i think is the mother is still circling them, they are starting to become free swimmers, they are still really small but look alot like plecos. i will keep posting till i know for sure.

That would be interesing if they did turn out to be plecos considerig the tank size etc.
What particular breed of plecos do you have?
