I was just at the lfs and noticed some "tea cup" stingrays in a 90 gal densly planted tank. I think thet look really cool. what kind of setup would be good for them?

not familiar with the "tea-cup_ type, but I do have a guani (?SP) stingray in a 55 with 1 pleco and 1 oscar. The major thing to think of is you need a wide tank for them because the can reach up to 24" in diameter.

Also be aware that they can easily be cut and damaged by sharp substrate.... usually I reccomend people only keep them in a sand bottom or bare bottom tank.

thanks for the reply guys,

The "tea-cup" appaerently only grows to about 6" in diameter. How tall does the tank have to be? because I some cool tanks that were like ~8" tall by ~2' deep and ~3" long would that be good for a couple of tea-cup rays and maybe some other fish?
