I just gat a 90 gal tank. so i'll be moveing my oscars out of there 45gal and into the new one. I'm thinking of making the 45 an odd ball tank a few needle fish a butterfly fish and a brown knife. Anyone have advise on these fish.

How about a lake malawi tank?
Lots of variety and colours

be careful with those knife fish, depending on the species some can get up to 3' long. There are some smaller ones like the ghost knife I believe. But steer clear of the clown knifefish those get huge. Also when choosing tankmates you need to be careful not to mix aggressive eaters with slow patient eaters other wise you will have a headache trying to make sure everone gets their share.

The knife I'm geting is called an african brown knife and they only get 8".
I was thinking about an african tank but I realy like the needles, we have them with african butterflys and they get along so I want to get one of those two. Does anyone know more about these fish, I can't seem to find much info on them.

Would the fish that I listed be ok with one tble spoon of salt to 5 gal. Because they will also be in with a moray eel that i already have and he needs this much salt.
