Gourami

Most Gourami's are pretty peaceful in nature, but it does depend alot on the variety. There are some that can get quite large, and those I think tend to be a bit more territorial. What type are you thinking about?

guaramies are better off with 2-3 in the tank. Kissers tend to be more aggressive then the other types Ive noticed.

Gourami

I agree with candice. I have only had kissing gourami and they were fairly aggressive toward my other community fish, especially any new additions to the tank. I think it is more so curiousity more than aggressiveness for these fish. I havent had experience with other gourami's so I cant tell you anything about them. I think that kissing are more fun to watch though since their lips are almost always moving.
