Hey, I just purchased a pair of mbunas, I have the full name on a card somewhere, but I haven't found much information on them. Anyways, they're maybe 4" each and in a 30 g with a 3 1/2" front and a pair of maybe 1" .. eepz i forget the name ... we've got a pleco and a upside-d cat, everything's tiny ... we're gonna find the front a new home asap ... and we will find homes for the others when territory becomes an issue, but it's okay for now until we can get our big tank set up ... anyways the problem is the new 4" pair were fine for two weeks, but now they aren't eating anymore, the male is showing signs like he may have malawi bloat or dropsy and knowing something is wrong we started the maracyn 2 treatment today just to head it off it is dropsy, the thing that worried me about the male the most was because he is really pale, he was a light periwinkle, but now he is as white as a ghost almost .... and he kind of tips over .... and they gasp for breathe... my tank is kept at a steady 78 f, nitrite and ammonia are normal, ph is about 7.8 or so i'm rechecking in a min ... mmm what else can i tell you ... mmm ... there has been no fighting or territorial issues really .... once i set up my tank this summer they'll be moved ... anything that might help would be great! I can get pictures too if you need them
