If you follow the link to my website in my signature you can look at the pics I have of my reef tank, and some of its inhabitants... it is still in the early stages and I havent been able to stock it fully with the corals I want but it looks pretty decent none the less

well they do take daily attention and usually weekly or monthly maintenance, but as far as the amount of work it takes me longer to work on my oscar tank then it does to do what needs to be done on my saltwater tank.... that is because if properly setup a SW tank is basicly a perfect eco system... there are organisms that eat the waste of the lager oranisms and the live rock and deep sand beds process out all base waste products out to perfectly harmless nitrogen gas so a well set up tank will take absolutely no water changes. 10-15% a month is sometime recommended to maintain trace elements.

When people are setting up a saltwater tank they don't have enough patience (huh chris?) People rush into it and buy lots of fishj and stuff and everything dies off and they give up...you've got to have patience.
