Hi, I'm just new to Oscars and I was wondering what sorts of cat fish I could have with them. I have got a 25 gallon tank in my room with 2 Tiger Oscars that are about 2" long. Thanks.

Hi Blade,

You should have catfish that oscars can't fit in their mouth :) You might want to also check for catfish that don't grow too big either...but please realize a 25gallon is going to be very small for 2 Tiger oscars...the oscars will grow quickly.

Gday Blade,
As for the next month or two, you ok with frequent h2o changes...about 25% every week. Now when they get bigger(which they will quickly like Joe said) you will have to get them a bigger tank. I know it sucks but that's the only way to do it. Keep an eye out in the paper for used tanks and accessories that people are selling, unless you are finacially independent and can buy a brand new everything $$$, BUT start looking esp. if you plan on keeping the O's cause they will grow and grow on you also!!

Hey Chuck,

Isn't it irritating at how expensive aquariums are? I mean I imagine they REALLY can't be that expensive material wise and I don't see how they can be complicated to build and yet I think they are really overpriced! So yea, I'd recommend to everyone that they buy aquariums second hand so they can be able to afford a decent sized aquarium for cichlids.
