So I take the baby to my mom's house <-second mistake! 3 hrs early to let her get comfortable with my parents again well in advance to escape. (Cassandra now has seperation/stranger anxiety) She wouldn't let me out of her sight. In other words she screamed for 3 hours unless I was holding her.
So I decide to take the baby with me <- third mistake. We get to the skating rink late, of course, and I asked the lady at the front desk if I could bring in a stroller to push the baby around. She agreed and even told me I could take her "in there," meaning the rink, and push her around.
It was Christina's first time skating ever so I had to go with her so I could teach her how. I get on the floor with the stroller in one hand, and Christina in the other And begin going around the rink. <-fourth mistake.
I didn't even make it the whole way around once before someone stopped me and told me that I would have to take the stroller off of the floor immediately!! And that I wasn't "allowed" to go on the floor with it "Because the baby could get hurt and it's dangerous". First of all---I was told I could... Second---I was being very careful, staying around the very outer edge, and only skating when all the lights were on. And Third---I didn't even want to take the baby in the first place!!!
So I packed up the kids and told the lady at the desk that I wanted my money back. She was gonna give me free passes for next time and I told her I wasn't coming back after all of that! So she called the manager and he told me that I could take the stroller out there....So I UNpacked the kids, again, and got our skates back and tried again. <---Fifth mistake....
We went around about 3 more times when the manager was waiting for me back at the seat area with a lecture on insurance and danger.
Do they actually think that I would put my baby in a dangerous situation???? I am not a MORON!! So I just packed up the kids, yes..again!, and we came home....
As I walked up to the door I just happened to remember that I locked it before I left <---sixth mistake, because I wasn't planning on being back before my husband went to work at 11:00. The door was locked, I had no key, and he was in the shower....
Just then Christina informed me "Mommy, I have to go pee." So while we are waiting for my husband to get out of his 20 min shower, standing out in the cold, I lose my mind....Yea yea, I know...I don't have one to lose, but if I did, I would have! Finally we get into the house, Christina makes it to potty, and I put both kids in bed, and voila....here we are...I need major stress relief!!
Just thought I'd share a little of my life with ya'll! Or should I say my nightmare!!
On top of all that, they wanted 25 cents for a measly glass of water!
Ok....I feel a smidge better now...I think...
