Clock

Postby aaroncain on Fri Dec 28, 2001 8:12 pm

I think that it would be a cool thing to add if there was some sort of standard clock on this site that would let viewers know when a new message was posted other than looking at the light bulbs since I am on the site almost all day when i am at work, I have to re-click on the startpage of cichlidfish.com to be able to see if there are any new posts without knowing what the timezone is the standard for the site. I hope that makes sense to you. I like to be able to look quickly and know if there is a new message quickly without having to know what timezone that the message was sent in.

Just a suggestion to make it easier for those who cant get enough of this site!

Hi, that sounds good, not sure if it's that easy though, we'll see, in the meantime you can do a refresh of that "view active topics" link from the main bbs page. or here it is: http://www.cichlidfish.com/cgi-bin/bbcgi/search.cgi?action=getdaily

Clock

Hi, well to post a clock on the page would not be too hard, but to make it use this different clock instead of the way the BBS does it with the "server" clock so that posts are "stamped" with this new time requires hacking the bbs code which is more of a pain. If I have enough time one day I may try it....
