I think the bbs is great but how about updating the site.

I agree also perhaps either getting more strict on where topic are posted. ex: anything having to do with disease, treatments, and preventative care put it under making your fish healthy . . .) Or just deleting out that forum as it is no longer being used. When someone has a question about their O having HITH they place it under Oscars, if their convict has ICH its placed under cichlids.

I am pretty good with Html and have helped to designed a few sites. If you give me an idea what you are looking for and which pics etc you want I could definately try to whip something up for you.

Hi guys * AND C4,

The thing is that if I redo the ENTIRE website, I want like a really professional look ie something that uses Stylesheets maybe etc....and makes it easy for newly created pages to contain the same look and feel. For now though, I welcome any NEW pages to be created with new information or whatever. When I find the time or money to redo the 'entire' look and feel I'll get to that. Now how about the "Fish Health Forum" should we get RID of it? Like C4 says, most people post problem under either oscar or cichlids. Personal i like the sites look and feel just the way it is but i do agree on the hith or desease under cichlid or oscar.I personal never go in there so i couldnt be much use to some one in helping them.

I like the bbs and wouldn't do too much changing in that area. As for the site I think that one improvement would be to change it so that when you click on the oscar discussion group link it would take you to the area where you pick what bbs you want to go in. I think some people (especially new people) might not realize that there are other areas to post questions.

Hey I can't believe it!!!!! You actually used my suggestion! Thanks! I think that may help people to put their questions in the appropriate areas.
Maybe you should contact other cichlid-oscar sites and get a link exchange going with them. It might bring you more traffic.

thanks, well comments/suggestions are always welcome especially ones which don't take a whole lotta work to implement
I might do exchange banner stuff later on, I'm pretty hesitant with that because I found that websites with a bunch of banners and animated gifs etc really bother me, I just can't look at them for long, don't know why but they just get really annoying. That's why I've been trying to keep the site as easy on the eyes as possible. Maybe when I organize the web pages so that they are neater I'll be able to sneak in a banner spot.

If you do one I suggest a small one as yes they are annoying. My previous sites prior to duboisi.com has those things and I found them to be pretty annoying.
