After many attempts to keep my 110 gallon tank clean with 3 beautiful oscars, I stumbled upon an old solution. I pump 2 Marineland filters rated @280 gph with a Magnum 350. You would think that my tank would have proper filtration, but it didn't. I went to the local pet store and bought a couple of stone sticks and ran them to the bottom of my tank after watching my oscars enjoy the bubbles produced from the 350. This turned out to help my filtration. The bubbles produce a current that kicks up a lot of the excriments that the oscars produce. I went from doing water changes every 2 to 3 weeks to once a month. The only reason why I do that is to keep the amonia level down for optimal growth. My tank has been crystal clear since and I would highly suggest this to anyone who is having problems with the clarity of their tank. And now my oscars are blowin up(they're huge). And if their is anyone out there who would like some advise or help email me @
