Getting them to tango...

Breeding Ability

I have 4 Oscars together in a 90 gallon tank. I have a couple of questions about getting them to breed. Is it hard to get them to breed if you have more than two oscars together. If I have a pair in there that would breed, would the other two keep them form breeding. Also, are the different color varations harder to breed than others? and will they mix. I have two albino's, a golden and a black oscar. My final question is how large do they need to be before they are large enough to breed. Oh well, I'll appreciate any addvice.

Breeding Ability

We recently were given 2 pairs of O's that shared a 90 gal. tank. The last owners told us that they would take turns spawning. When we put them together, one pair wanted to eat the eggs from the other pair. They are separated now however. So yes, they can spawn with a another pair in there. You might have better luck with only one pair in there though. They will breed at about 10", 1+ year old. One of the breeding pairs I have is an Albino and a Tiger.
