Blue Ram Eggs

Ram eggs @ 48 hours developed white furry mould. Can this be remedied or are eggs doomed?? Have them in seperate tank. pH was too high..have now lowered. Any suggestions??

I do believe if they are furry that they are not fertile, correct me if I am wrong someone. Next time use some Methyl blue to keep off the fungus.

never bred Blue rams before, but did the parents tend to the eggs? do you definetly have a male in there too? what color where the eggs before they went mouldy?

Parents were very attentive before eggs were removed to seperate tank. Eggs were all clear to start then some went opaque. Now all are opaque and covered with a white "hairy" fungus.
Guess it's time to flush!??

parents will usually hover over the eggs pushing fresh water rich in oxygen over them. Good oxygen over the eggs will help prevent them from fungusing.

probobly best to leave the eggs with the parents until they hatch,, unless they arnt looking after them or they are geting eaten by other fish, If you do take them away you want to keep the water moving over them, alot of people make DIY egg tumblers using an airstone and mesh rice strainers for this purpose,
