What should the temp of the water be?
Should i use sand or gravel wont sand just get sucked up in the syphon?
What size do they breed(How many inches long)
How many can i put in a 15 Gal?

One pair in the 15 gal. Temp should be 78F. They will breed around 2 inches long. I'd use small gravel because they like to dig. Also, put a small clay pot in there for them to spawn on.

you can use just about anything for them to lay on...mine have laid on rocks, plants, clay pots, plastic decorations, in my castles, and on the UGF...they are not picky...and they really don't care about temp either...warmer will hatch the eggs off faster...and 15g isn't necessary you can go as small as 10g...1 pair up to 20g...then divide the tank or they get upset
