Don't place the divider now, wait until after this spawn is free swimming or dies (I hope that does not happen) Did you remove them last time or keep them with the parents?

After they were freeswimming I removed the fry.

well you can try leaving them with the parents.

Explain what you did when you removed them the last time.

Really I didn't know how the best way to move them. I setup my 5.5 gal tank with water from the parents tank, and netted the freeswimmers out and placed them into the 5.5.

What you did sonds okay, but there is more. Make sure there is plety airiation i the tank. Im prety sure it was a fungal infection that killed the last batch. At this age they hae no resistance built up. Add methyl blue, it should be enough o tint he water blue. Image
