I am new to the Convict game. I have two female and a male convict. The male picked his gal and raised hell with the other one. I moved her to a different tank. The "Chosen" female spends most of her time in a cave. And the male patrols the area. Ok finally to my question. Is everything going how it is supposed to and how do I keep myself from running upto the tank every three minutes to look for eggs!!! Thanks for any input!!!

Well as for the breeding situation it sounds like everything is going as it should... it can take a few weeks for them to get to the point where they are ready to breed they usually will lay eggs every month or so but can do it more then that in some cases.

As to the running to the tank all the time... I recommend a system of trip wires, land mines and punji stick filled pit traps... this will make traversing your fish room so hazardous you will only do it when you have to to feed and change water etc... other then that I am out of ideas
