An interesting fact I learned Via the "Aquarium for Dummies" book. "Synodontis catfish often spawn in cichlid territory eating the cichlid eggs, and depositing theirs in the same spot." Mystery solved, I was not hallucinating! the cats are now going to room with my angels. You think they'll bother their fry? they are considered cichlids to. I guesse time will tell.

Read George C. Barlow's book: "The Cichlid Fishes" Gives interesting details on the whys of the situation.
