I think it would be best to leave the oscars look after the eggs. The parents will fan the eggs so they dont develop fungis etc.
If the eggs are a slight brown colour they have been fertilised. If they are white then they are setirle eggs and should be removed.

If you choose to seperate the eggs from the parents, remove all fish into another rather than moving the eggs and make sure your tank has plenty of water circulation from power heads etc;. Also adding a bit of methylene blue at a weak dose to help keep fungis at bay.
3 days to a week to hatch

Personally Id rather leave the parents in and remove any other tank mates.

If you choose to remove the eggs you can put them in a 10 gal (still connected to the slate) put a bubble wand on the back of the tank and then tilt the slate over it so that the bubbles run directly over the eggs. Some people may say thet no you cant do that because it will damage the eggs, but I have done this numerous times with my angels eggs (I have one pair of egg canibals) and speaking from expierience I have noticed no difference between my pairs that will raise up the young and the group hatched artificialy. (other then the fact I get about 50 more fry from the artifical group)The bubbles supply the needed O2 as well as the "fanning effect" to prevent fungul growth.

that is an interesting idea Candice... would a powerhead with the venturi attached achieve the same effect do you think?

Aadam I cant vouch for that just because Ive never tried it before. A powerhead may supply to much current though, mabey not when in the egg stage, but id be afraid of the fry being blown to oz. Im not familiar with a venturi. Could you please inform me as to what this is?
