I have a pair of kribs the female is very pregnant and every time she sees the male her stomach turns dark purple she does not shake or do anything else I've read about them there are 2 different caves in the tank but they jsut won't breed

first things first,make sure you have a male and a female in the tank.....i,m not saying this to sound like a you know what,but I've learned the hard way ..and that is pet shop owners don't know it all..i know convicts are alot different than angels and oscars which is what i breed, but you could always use the same method, and that is to start with about six and let them do the rest . sometimes there are males and females that are just not compatible together, so by using six fish you can almost count on a pair if not two..
