Does anyone know weather you should freeze flake food to keep it fresh if not using it right away? I buy 5lbs at a time. . .

freezing it would probably lengthen the time it stays good... though I'm not sure how long that would be. How fast do you go through a five pound bag of flake?

about every 6 months. Its alot cheaper then buying regular cans of flake food. I pay around 4.00$ per pound vs. 3.00$ for a couple oz.

I think you would be fine... Think the general rule of thumb for food is that it should be used within 3 months but freezing might extend that for quite some time, just take out what you can use in a week or so to keep it at it's freshest.
