Hey OAU,
I didn't see you post what size tank you had these 3 guys/gals in. Sometimes they are quite territorial and beat the hell out of each other. Your tiger might have gotten the scrape from chasing the albino more than likely, they don't let anything get in their way when they are plotting an attack or eating! Also you still have plants in you tank with 3 O's WWWOOOOWWWW!

hi joe & kick,
sorry it took me awhile to get back with ya. thanx for replying to my post. yes i do still have plants in with my oscars....i believe that is only b/c they r still young...lol. they sure do try to wreak havoc on them just not quite big enough to get em up yet! your oscars tore the plants up huh?
as far as the tank theyre in, well someone forgot to mention that the rule about 1 inch of fish per gallon of water doesnt really apply to oscars....so we are now in the process of upgrading from a 30 to at least a 55 maybe bigger. yes i know i know, the 30 is too small but my oscars are still small. but youre right it just may be territorial and joe yours makes sense also about trying to make a breeding pair or not accepting albino. this may be silly, but my husband threw the idea up that albino sure does look like a bigger version of the feeder fish they eat and maybe they were mistaking albino for that?? we were grasping at straws as you can probably tell trying to figure it out....lol. it was just so odd that the tiger and albino were together first and the red came last....now tiger and albino fight. and oh my god, i thought i was the only one whose fish jumped out of the tank.....red always tries to jump out when being fed....once he suceeded and the fight was on between trying to keep my lab retrievers off of it and trying to get him to be still enough to net, it wont happen again.....i feed from the heater tube opening in the back now ;). well thanx for the ideas and i will keep those in mind and by the way is this something that will ever change....my tank looks like it only has 2 fish?? i have to explain to people that there really are 3! hope to chat again soon. thanx!!

His Oscarsru,

Well, I hope your albino will do ok. A bigger tank usually helps ease aggression. Also, who knows maybe your albino is a male and your tiger might be a male also. You might want to try splitting tank and putting together the albino with one of the more peacefull of your tiger oscars and see what happens. Or get a bigger tank and another albino, who knows :)keep us upto-date...
