Recovering from HITH

Postby donnimcmasters on Fri Jan 26, 2001 8:57 pm

I have done all the treatments necessary for this desease. What are the chances that it will come back? The guy at the pet store said that it probably came from the feeder fish. I have only fed them feeder fish once and it wasn't long after that I noticed the tiny holes in their foreheads. Is it necessary to feed live foods, or can I just continue feeding the Hikari pellet foods? I feed them dried blood worms occasionally also. Will they be just as happy on a limited diet? I am scared of getting this horrible desease again!

Donni

you are better off feeding your oscars the pellets like you have been doing. Depending on what the LFS feeds their feeder fish which is usually garbage you are better off. A lot of feeder fish have no value for your fish so....
