convict fry as feeders

I have a breeding pair of convicts and was wondering if it would be a good idea to feed the fry to my oscars once they got big enough to see through an oscars eye:)

convict fry as feeders

Go for it dude! I used to do it all the time when I had a breeding pair of convicts. Like they won't spawn again...yea right!! Plus you also decrease the risk of introducing a new disease to your already established ecosystem(which has happened to me and wipped out my whole aquarium)Damn diseases. But if you can sell them do that but if the LFS is already 'full' of convicts, use them as feeders. Just don't make it a staple diet for your oscars, just treats. Good Luck! Chuck

Funny, that's exactly why I got convicts in the first place. Unfortunatley, I just can't make myself feed them to the oscars, they're just so innocent when they beg for food :)

Yea they're a lot "cuter" than my red devil fry. Those "devils" are SO MEAN even as babies. I have some video of them killing goldfish bigger than them. They go for the eyes and yank on them till the poor suckers run around blind and eventually get bitten to death. Will have to post a disclaimer when I post that video...
