Hard to imagine, is it an albino/lutino oscar or are you talking about a red oscar or tiger oscar turning pink?? if it isn't albino/ruby/lutino, how long does this pink last?

I hate to say this, but Dude, Give it up!
Fish are supposed to be relaxing and I can't imagine you are too relaxed with all the "problems" you seem to encounter. Quit while you are behind.

turning lighter colors are a sign of stress, the lighter the color, the more severe the stress usually. they could be stressed out by other fish, poor water quality, too much filter flow, too small a tank, too crowded a tank, too large of water change, a disease, etc. i suggest you rule out each option systematically, and you should figure out what is causing the problem.

OH 2 inches! that's just a baby....and yea as stoli said, changes in color to a bright color happen when they are stressed and later on sometimes when they are doing their kinky rituals. you might want to check your water parameters, pH, temperature etc....make sure to treat water etc...maybe make the tank more "comfortable", maybe a little less intense lighting, some bigger rocks for it to hide behind if it wants to etc...or get another little oscar to keep it company! i gotta agree with porter's dad..i am taking all of this way too far..but i juss worried cuz i really want my O to get big!...

neways..this is the prob: i think that the water is the case..it's yellowish, but clear. i have 1 ehiem 2222 and 1 aquaclear working the tank. 2 water changes a week to pick up all da crap outta da messy O. how can i improve the tank? and will the O's color come back to normal from pink to orange?

If you have good powerfull filtration and still want a cleaner tank, try some diff filter media, something that filters out very small particles.....to do this I usually use my HOT magnum's fine microfilter...for small tanks, corner filters with cotton etc work well to take out the very small particles...
