i have a 10 gallon tank...and i was wondering what kind of fish should i get? i don't know much about aggressive fish so i was wondering if someone could help me out. i want a really aggressive fish...any suggestions?

Sorry theres not a great deal that will go in a 10 gallon in the agressive range.
Convicts and a green terror maybe.
Youd really have to go for a larger tank for things like Red Devils,Jack dempseys etc

actually other then convicts you are really left with no choices that I can think of green terrors will get way to big for that tank, they get roughly the same size as oscars, or Jack dempseys.

For all the really aggressive cichlids you will need to buy at least a 55 gallon tank and 75 is better if you want more then one.

10 gallons are great for small community type tanks where fish will not exceed 2-3" at full size but really anything the reaches over 4-6" is not suitable for that size tank.

yup, tony and adam sayd it. you can get a breeding pair of convicts, except when they get big you'll need to up grade to like a 15 or 20 gal tank. but hey, community fish are pretty too...lotta colors. and by aggressive fish, do you mean like will eat other fish? or like mean suckers? almost all fish eat crickets, tubifix worms or brine shrimp. get those 1 week old crixts if the fish are too small. one of the best (or gross depending on your views) is convict fry (babies) trying to take down a brine shrimp. man.. those lil guys are mean! 2 fry would take on 1 helpless brine shrimp. take in mind the fry are half the size of the shrimp. they rip apart the poor shrimp piece by piece...brutal.

If you want a really aggressive fish the only advice I can offer is invest in a larger tank, at least 55 gal. Or convert your bathtub...

every one else has pretty much said it. if you want cichlids for a 10 gallon, you'd have to go with appistogrammas or rams, which are not very aggressive, but they are very colorful and stay under 3". pretty much all of the really aggressive fish grow way too big for a 10 gallon.
