I have an African cichlid, Oscar, Jack and red belly pacu. My O has an infection in her eye that I am treating with Kanacyn. But my African and Pacu both have worms at least I think they do. (It seems that I see something dangling from them every so often and I read that was worms). My Question is can I treat the worms with the Kanacyn also or do I need another type of med? Any suggestions. The Kanacyn treats internal and bacterial infections. My last question is how long will a Jack spawn for? My Jack spawned a month or so ago and I cleaned out the tank then when I noticed everyone getting sick I found more eggs. I wish I could neuter her. Thanks for all your advice.

Well I would definitly get another parasite med for the worms in conjunction with the Kanacyn.

I am not a JD expert but I do know there was an awesome article in July for Aquarium Tropics which went into depth on the JD. You will learn a lot from that issue on the JD. Good luck...

Well just to update you my pacu died a couple of days ago. But my african still has worms and my O's infection is getting a little better. My question for S42k is where is the article on Jack Demsey's I found your pics but I wanted to read the article you mentioned.

I am sorry to hear about your Pacu. The article I talked about was featured in Aquarium Tropics "July" issue. You can read/buy it at any local book store such as Barnes & Nobble, Boaders, Hastings etc...
