Hi there everyone, i hope your enjoying the long weekend in Canada. Like i am doing. Got sick of taken care of my oscars so i went to my best lfs and swopped 3-6" tiger's for some convicts and jag's. Now in my 135gal tank, i have
2 jaguars
1 blue jack D
1 redtail shark
6 convicts
1 pleco
1 alge eater
with fluval 404 and now 1 AC 500
had two but i busted a shaftto the impeller :{
SOrry to bore you,but had to vent

Shouldn't cost to much to get a replacement propeller, but like you said, since you got rid of the O's you won't really need the super-duper 800 times over an hour recirculation, hehehe! I'm in the same boat as you right now. Just moved to a new place and had to get rid of 2 O's in a 55 ga, and what really sucks is the move itself, took me damn near 3 days to move 4 tanks and what a pain in the a$$ it was! BUUTTT, it's done and over with and the moves were successful. Did really screw up one of my powerheads, was a brand new one also, it somehow found its way into a slot in the back of my truch and when I went to pull it out, CRACK! was not a happy camper, but ok, needed to vent too, feel much better now!

AAAAAAWWWWWWW you got rid of your oscars

Yeah I guess they can be a pain at times and not everybody has the time to be constantly doing the maintenance required. Fortuantly Im retired so I got a lot of time up my sleeves.
