Question, I guess I got to remove my extra female from the tank and leave the breeding pair alone. What about parental control, who should I remove after the eggs hatch, the male or female? Who is a better parent?

you shouldn't have to remove either parent. the only fish you might have to remove is any other fish in with them. a friend of mine had a pair of convicts spawn in a tank with 3 oscars. the 3 oscars wound up dead in a very short time.

yes i agree with jrskbm. just leave the breeding pair and their eggs alone. they'll care for them and round them up. once they hatch(1 week) you dont have to feed the fry. once they become swimming fry (the next week) feed them either flakes crushed into powder (might take 5 minutes in bag) or feed them frozen baby brine shrimp. they'll gobble those up fast and plus, they grow faster when eating those baby brine.
