personnaly I wouldn't breed them. Id let them do it themselves. It works best when you have the same species. LOL. Im not familiar with this type of cichlid, but with my convicts I had to basicaly wait for them to pair off. They needed a variety of "parteners" to choose a compatible one for themselves.

Well, first of all do you have a male and female? I know that it sounds silly, but thats the first step, I've never tried to breed that species of fish, but I do have a male, he's about 5" right now and he is one mean SOB! I have him in a tank with one other O and he easily holds his own(the O is close to 10" right now). I think that if you would kinda treat the water conditions for breeding as all other cichlids similar to that species, you shouldn't have a problem. Not sure how big or old the fish you have are, but they first have to reach sexual maturity first before they tango, ya know. Another way of attempting(eventhough you would need a large tank and some patience) is buy about 5 or 6 cichlids and throw them all together in the tank and wait, eventually they will pair off and you can watch for this and keep an eye on them. Well, let us know a little about the T's you currently have..
