hi i have never had cichlids before to be honest i bought them on an impulse at walmart so far i've had them about 2 weeks i havent noticed anything strange other than when i bought them at the store they looked bright yellow and within minuets of being in the litte bag their color changed now there orange i thought maybe it was the cheap blue back round so i put the same color of blue behind them nothing maybe the position of the take so i put it up high like it was at the store when i first saw them agian nothing what gives?

It is probibley the lighting that causes the color changes. NOT really changing them, but some lights do bring out more intence color in the fish..

U need a all spectrum light for your tank.. This wil give U their true colors.. Yellows to Orange or blues need a all spectrum light..

do U know what kind of cichlid it is?? A Electric Yellow or a Red Zebra?? Either one of these wil look different under different lights..
The Electric Yellow has a black stripe on the top sail fin.. The Red Zebra is just that, more orange really but no distinct markings at all.
