Hello 911,

Here's my problem: I got 2 oscars with 1 convict in 450L ( like 100 gal) and one of my oscar is ill: My oscars often hit the wood in the aquarium when they are playing or afraid of something; but the last days, I didn't have much time to watch them, and today i saw that my biggest oscar was really strange, like disoriented, and i just spot a really big problem: http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/2203/p6308683nc7.jpg

I just read the article about Scepticemia, and I must confess that i'm really scared !

Pls help me I don't know what i could do :x

Hard to tell from the pic, are there really streaks of blood lines in fins etc? As far as what to do, just do all you can do, which means keep water at as PERFECT parameters as possible, ie (no nitrites, nitrates, etc...), right pH, good temperature, very WELL oxygenated, AND try treating with some salt, and antibiotics etc...it helps to move to a smaller "Treatment" tank for the duration of the treatment. If it appears to have had something contagious and deadly my recommendation is usually to redo the tank, cleaned out new water etc etc...most important is keeping fish as strong as possible to give it a good chance to 'overcome' any infection or parasite, this means adding anti-parasitic, anti-fungal or antibiotics or salt etc...but just as important is doing bigger and more frequent water changes, in fact best done in a separate new treatment tank...keeping it very well oxygenated and temp a little higher than normal during treatment......(maybe 84F if plenty of airstones and water movement at surface...)
