I've used it. It's now one of the few meds that I always keep on hand. Good to use after injury. Does a good job against columnaris infections. Won't trash your bio-filter. Just follow the directions. Based on tea tree (really melaleuca) extract. For true fungus infections, use Pimafix. Some coleagues report best results using both simultaneously. Good products, IMO.

Hey, my oscars just got beaten up by another cichlid I kept in the tank for one day. Melafix you say???

I usually just put 3gm salt/L in there to fix them. Just as good or should I go melafix?
The oscars were beat up pretty bad but they're eating today, so can't be all black news.

If salt works for you there's no compelling reason to switch.
