We have a pair of Cichlid which is orange in color, one having 1 black spot on it and the other having 2 black spots. I can't remember what they were called when I bought them. I've looked in the pet stores for months and haven't seen any others like these and have asked but they don't seem to know. Since September they just keep having babies, I can't tell which one is having them. How can you tell which is the male and which is the female? I was told at the pet store that they cane change sexes. I just know they both take care of the babies and will get them in their mouths and bring them back if they get to far away. We do remove the babies to smaller tanks once we realize that they have had more. We have them in with a Jack Dempsey and a Black Convict; at least that’s what I think they are. We've never had any problems; the orange ones hold their own. They protect their territory as well as the other two do.
Thanks in advance for your help,

Wanda
