Afraid i have to agree with DanRad on this one.
You'd get away with a pair of any of those without any problems, matched up with a could of big dither fish, and a few bottom feeders.
Or
You can go for three from the list at a push.
Id avoid the green terror (ive kept acaras in the past and their a royal pain to keep with anything else), the convict (also pretty aggressive for their size) and the fire mouth (little too small and too frigile if they get bumped about)
From what i hear, jacks and oscars are a classic mix (one likes to hide, one is a show off)
Severums and oscars are also apparently a good option, but ive never had the guts to try it.
As for the bubbles- Sounds like ICH.
What fish do you have already, and what size tank are they in?
Best of luck
